If you have a heart for the church, and want to be involved in guiding, encouraging and building up God’s people, then the Bachelor of Ministry is the course for you. It begins with an overview of the entire biblical text, giving you a great framework as you move into more detailed analysis of key sections. You’ll have a chance to study the Bible in the languages it was originally written in; you can get a better understanding of the history and purpose of the church; and you’ll be grappling with how key theological doctrines, like grace or eschatology, actually relate to the Christian life. You can then choose the areas in which you want to dig deeper, focusing on pastoral ministry and preaching, cross-cultural mission, leadership development, or more comprehensive biblical study. The purpose of Bachelor of Ministry is to provide sound Biblical training to professionals, Church leaders and those who are interested in the Word of God.

Objectives

  1. To give sound Biblical training to lay scholars and Christian workers.
  1. To reach the group of people who work during the day and have time only in the evening to equip themselves.
  1. To reach the working community who desire to equip themselves in the Word of God.
  1. To impart the knowledge of the Word of God. [1 Tim.2: 3-4]
  1. To equip the saints to do the work of an evangelist.

Application and Registration

  • Any Christians, irrespective of denomination, living in India or abroad, who has enough knowledge of the English language can apply.
  • Applicant should send Rs.200/-to get the application and prospectus.
  • Must have completed 12th standard or its equivalent or 10th standard plus two years of Diploma in Theology with a good command of English can apply for B.Min program.
  • Applicants who have successfully completed an unrecognized D.Th program will need to appear and successfully pass a qualifying examination consisting of three papers in Biblical Studies, Theology and Christian Ministry.
  • Applicants should send their filled in application forms enclosing all the required copies of their certificates to the Registrar, Berachah Institute of Higher Education and Research, Post Box-4, Palampur. HP.176061
  • Admissions are open throughout the year.
  • A candidate is given provisional admission on the basis of verification of certificates.
  • The final decision of admission is reserved with the advisory committee of the external study program.
  • Must come to the main campus at least twice a year for exams and contact classes.
  • They can use the library at BIHER but cannot check out the books.
  • Since it is an external study program, students need to plan and allocate their time to study the subjects.
  • Bachelor of Ministry program consists of six semesters.
  • Selected candidates will be required to pay the necessary fees and get registered.
  • A candidate is given admission on the basis of verification of certificates.
  • Each student admitted will be given a Registration number and will be expected to complete in three years from the year of registration. Extension of one year shall be considered if there is a valid reason and by paying the extra fees.
  • A candidate to graduate in this degree program should have completed all the academic requirements.
  • Awarding of degree depends on the recommendation of the Evaluation Committee.
